For some reason, when I save a game then reload it, the latest messages are lost, I can see some older ones, but not the latest ones that were there when I saved the game.
Is there a setting I need to activate to save all messages?

Not all messages can be saved. But various simutrans version had bugs, so it would help, if you could be a little more specific. What versions, what messages.
