A while ago I noticed, that when editing vehicle's names, the new input get's automatically "entered" (equivalent of hitting return key) like every 1sec and the input of the next 1-2 letters afterwards gets discarded.
I guess, this bug was implemented with the V124.0 release, along this similar bug concerning factory names (https://forum.simutrans.com/index.php/topic,22986.0.html), even though, it's not an identical behavior.
On a server only?
It's not server dependent and also happens in single player mode.
Could not reproduce. The name (in the title) reflects whatever is entered (with the delay) in the GDI and SDL2 version (single player).
That sure is strange.
Here's how it looks on my system.
Which version? As long as I have a cursor, backspace works for me, both in GDI and SDL versions. Also the updating is almost in an instant for me.
Sure. The the current version I'm playing is pak64 r11671.
Please try the latest nightly. That issue might be gone. Also which OS?
