I'm currently reworking the Post Office extension.
I'm wondering if the automatic demolition of buildings shouldn't be replaced by active demolition by the player.
The reason is that with such automatic demolition, it can give the impression that this is how it's done in the normal game as well.
That seems fine to me, and since there is a mix between empty plots and plots with buildings, it is necessary to indicate when both steps (remove and build) must be carried out and when only the extension building needs to be built.
Another question is how it should be built.
There are several options.
- Extension building (possibly involving demolition)
- Build a post office stop next to it
- Build a combined passport/post office stop next to it
- Build a combined passport/post office stop above it
Build either one if possible, with the following priority:
- Free tile
- Post stop next to it
- Replace pass/post stop (if present)
- Demolish and build next to it (this would happen very rarely)
With option 3, it's also possible to build next to it. The general question here is whether to build next to it or over it.
Option 4 is likely to be very rare in a purely automatic search.
Or should there be a fixed ratio?

Simutrans r11871
not compatible to older save games (halt coord changed)
[EDIT]
delete file
The conversion is mostly complete, including errors.
If there are free tile, a post office building is required.
If there are no free tile, a post office stop is required.
The waiting area for postal vehicles is being moved to a post office stop.
The selection of the post office building and post office stop is automatic when using automatic progression.
Since I changed the halt fields, saved tutorials no longer work.
