It was high time, almost one year had passed since the last release. Most visible are the GUI improvements like searchable comboboxes (just type when a box is open) or grouping goods/passengers by connection. Under the hood, the city growth (house and road building) was totally overhauled, removing many errors with multitile buildings and street connections (and the lack of terraforming for it). As a nice side effect, initial town generation on a new map became about 3x faster.
For beginner, there a much nicer tutorial with pak64, pak64.german and pak128.
This release is built from svn revision number 11919.
Installer for Windows
MS Windows with an existing install should use the Online-Installer (Admin) (http://sourceforge.net/projects/simutrans/files/simutrans/simutrans-online-install.exe/download).
New users can use the no-admin version too

The pak files will be stored in both cases in ProgramData, i.e. only once per computer. The admin installer will move the paks there before installing any new ones or updating the existing paks.
Android users should be able to get it from the Google Play Store.
Those versions support IPv6 on Windows. As a result, it will not run on any Windows OS below XP.
If you want to download manually, you will need an executable and a pak set.

The MAC OS version for ARM (Apple silicon) may not run due to Apple putting even more restrictions on hobby developers without a Mac.
Please use the Intel version with the emulator, or
1) Download MAC OS (Apple silicon) (https://sourceforge.net/projects/simutrans/files/simutrans/124-4/simumac-arm-124-4.zip/download)
2) Start Simutrans (it will be denied)
3) Immediately afterwards, go to security in the system settings. There will be an entry that Simutrans was blocked to protect your Mac. Allow it with the button to the right. If the button is missing, delete the app and repeat.
The next time, Simutrans will start normally.
