Title: Destination/Growth weight control
Post by: colonyan on October 08, 2009, 11:37:10 PM

I assume growth weight distributed as
   pass/40%, mail/30%, freight/20%, unassigned/10%

   Pass/mail destination as
All other citybuilding/50%, industry in range/33%, tourist destination 17%

Is it possible to make those figures changed in config tab?
I feels this applies for all pak set. I would be good if we could modify this.
(except I know STExp uses other figure for growth weight for that 10%)

Ah ha! This is one sweet news. Thank you again! :)

    Edit1: Parameter seen on simuconf!
              Will passenger/mail destination come later?
With this, whole new possibilities will open...

This is still easy stuff, although I fail to see any purpose for that.

Eventhough it is called "tourist destination", basically it is a group of cur buildings which
attracts fixed amount of spawned passengers.

We could make more diverse use of it as "volumic important or iconic city building"
Some important citybuilding (notably large commercial) could be at same time
tourist destination and center of commerce.
Or just pure high volume appartment complex, commercial skyscraper or inudstrial complex.

It also give additional side effect.
Such as, currently, citybuildings are fixed at 1x1 tile.
Oppositely, cur buildings can be different larger size and even in rectangular.
There could be more vatiation is lot size.

Currently, we can already apply citybuildingish name and graphic on curbuildings.
But at 17%, it does not do its weight.

Although, if cur building must be counted as population. I believe it does now since
population rises when for example a church is consturcted.

Is it possible to modify CONNECT_TO_TOWN_SQUARE_DISTANCE too ?
If possible, Manhattan distance is good to understand.

!!! z!
I didn't know such amazing sounding parameter existed!
Yes, that would be really awsome to have too.

And I also saw the screen shot of setting tab for destination weight control too.
Again and again, my sincere gratitude to prissi and coder, patchers!

Programming is ***Magic*** for me!

yeah~ I'm so happy~, really, I mean it!
