Is it common to "apply" a line to a train?
I think this is incorrect, it should say "assign" line.
(in German it says "zuweisen" which means "to assign")
"Assign" is probably a better translation. Certainly, I wouldn't refer to 'applying' a line to a train in real life. I would "assign" a train to a particular line. (I wouldn't assign a line to a train).

I agree. However, in the given context (depot window), it seems more practical just to say "assign line" (or maybe "assign to line") than to say "assign train to line" (it's just too long).
If nobody objects, I will change the text and also check the corresponding help text for similar issues.
Oh, sure - didn't mean to imply otherwise. And "assign line" works because it can mean "assign [train to this] line". :)

The italian translation also seems to say "apply". But I can't fix that.
Then, make a suggestion for the IT translation of that text and wait for the approval from the IT translators.
