Title: More Passengers Using Train!!!
Post by: stmaker on August 23, 2010, 09:15:45 AM
Yep! I was surveying my transport in SimuTrans and what I found is that more passengers use trains than buses.

Let me take an example of one of the towns (I paused the game, so that means there would be changes soon).

In Winchester,

The station (and only ONE), which is an interchange, has 259 passengers.
4 of the 5 bus stops (the last one has no passengers) have 127 passengers! Average would be 32 for each stop.

So, any more conclusion?

Passengers usually take the route with less stops.

Oh, my buses' routes are long. :P

But come on! There are two buses (in the same route) in Winchester that serves by only 6 stops (one of them is the interchange, which is the station).

I believe passengers usually take the route with fewer *transfers*.

Ok.

(Sorry, but I didn't notice this is double posting)

Now I have a problem. Not much passengers are taking the trains and buses. Any problems and solutions?
