Title: Supply Chain Considerations
Post by: trianglemoon on November 07, 2010, 01:12:56 AM
Hello,

I am supplying a Steel Mill (Pak64) with Iron and Coal, but no Steel gets produced.  As a new player, I'm not sure what I am missing.

When I look at the Steel Mill in question, It's details say:
Production:
-Steel 200/200t, 100%

Consumption:
-Iron Ore 1317/1200t, 200%
-Coal 421/350t, 50%

Help with how to get the steel, and what the numbers mean would be helpful.  I have reviewed the "help" in game, as well as looked on some of the forums after a search, but couldn't find anytihng.

Thank you!

This mean the output storage of the steel mill is filled to capacity (200t of 200t) YOu have to transport steel to one consumer, to have the mill produce something again.

Thank you.

I tried building a steel truck, and it didn't get loaded.  My station shows nothing waiting.  Do I need to build another station?

I went ahead and built a separate station, but I still do not see where there is any steel waiting to be delivered.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

a) Is there a contract between steel mill and the factory where you want to take steel?

b) Are both ends of the steel transport line enabled for goods transport?

It was indeed a problem with the contract.  I misunderstood how that should work.

Thank you for taking the time to help me.
