Hello
Nice building!
I've been working on google sketchup using your tutorial to practice.
2 little problems:
- I cannot download the template to setup the screen for Simutrans. When I clik on it it say page is non existent... ???
- I cannot find a way to set the angles to match with the views in Simutrans.
Any Help? ;D
Thanks and Happy new year to you.
here's link for a template: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17111233/Simutrans_Template.skp
You can also try any of the other links in my signature, as they all start off from the same template.
Thanks so much
By the way your tutorial is nice but outdated since that google sketchup has been released in a new version.
i'm making a french castle if you want to look:

Perhaps it should be called "railway museum", and I'd suggest an introduction date a little earlier: perhaps about 1972.
railway museum doesn't sound bad.
perhaps a merger with this thread then? http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?topic=5095.0
I think I will have to fix the rotation slightly, if trains already made into png files are to sit on the tracks.
maybe open up a few doors too.
Other thoughts: does it need chimneys? a small mechanic's shed? should the window sills and brick walls look a bit more dated?
It could be made to look dirtier, certainly, and I'm not sure whether the lighting/shading is quite right, but that's hard to tell without seeing it in the game. The ballast looks a tad blurred, too.
What would work to make it into a railway museum would be some newer style, smaller buildings to act as a visitor centre, etc. A few smaller sheds wouldn't go amiss, either.
Merging the topics certainly seems sensible - I'm not a moderator on this board, however, so I think that we'll have to wait until The Hood gets back from holiday. It's good to see new stuff, as ever!
The picture look be nice out.
