The name says it all.
There are more problems with sheep: they can climb vertical cliffs / jump down :D This is not fixed with this patch. Maybe later...
What is the purpose? You probably never run into sheeps in scottland ...
People complained that sheep cause traffic jams. I think Dwachs tried to ease that problem by making them leave roads as soon as possible.
Originally I added them to cause traffic jams ... and you can delete them with a single click, if you do not like. Thus I asked.
EDIT: Moreover with this patch the will never cross a way (imho) until no options are left. This is imho a little too extreme.
The Problem with the Deleting is ... they come back!
And then you have the Traffic jam again ...
Realy? I think this Bug was fixed long time ago.

Really? It usually takes me several clicks to delete them, and then maybe a few more clicks afterwards to repair collateral damage to roads and stops. Luckily, I'm not thrown in jail for all the pedestians I kill in the process.
Keeping sheep away from roads might be a bit overkill, and certainly not realistic. Keeping sheep away from city roads makes more sense. That's also where they tend to cause the most trouble for me, since they simly can't leave the road.
Probably just force the next route change on next tile (the lower part of the patch) may achieve this.
what about the following: forbid the sheep to enter tiles with sidewalk.
^ I think it's perfect.
I never liked to see sheep walking though the cities.
Furthermore that check should be quite simple ...

This is incorporated in rev 4317.
