Hi
I have a bug in r4175 linux gcc4-64bit.
Some industries dump a huge amount of materials.
Even when they has them not at store.
Those go negative and stop producing.

The bug has come up a short time ago.
I used somewhere around r4123 then, but it has not given problems at the beginning.
I have many industries.
Could it become to many?
Did you reduce the storage of the station by demolishing some buildings or station tiles?
No, it happens when I do nothing at the particular station.
I was working to expand and reroute my wood connections.
Some new information.
When I load a saved game. The indusries where it happend go back to zero and starts produce normaly.
Till it happends again. (Not always)
With (r4180)
Today on a other platform.
The indicator shows the station was full coal.
But on the 'stop information' there was no coal at all.
When the next train with coal arrives it jumped to over the 1,67 16,7 million.
But this time none of the connected coalmines has a negative store.
(One is abofe his maximum (1.855/300t) and dit not change. Even when I save and reload.)
Till now it has only happen with bulk goods (3 coal and 1 sand).
Those are also what I transported the most.
Could you test with 4181?
And could you please upload a savegame?
This, what Erik called happened once also to me. I don't know in what version but - it happened after rebuilding of one station and change of routes using that station. After it in station appeared too big amount of materials for distribution for other factories - I think about 800 000 units of something.
... and refinery ended production. But after reloading it was right again.
If I was sure that I will call that bug again, I could try to call it again. But because I am not sure I would be successful, I won't do that.
I see r4181 not in the Nightly's jet.
Here the link to mij saved game.

And the used add ons.

(I hope the links will work. This the first time I do it on this way.)
The stations who has problems are basicly stations who used as distribution centre's
Coodinates: (in order of who was disturbed first.)
1) <72,148>
2) <174,13>
3) <76,21>
4) <237,193>
The many storage buildings added to the station has been build after.
It was a try to increase the capacaty of the station enough.
(It failed.)
I too have had this problem, 2 times while playing on prissi's netgame. I still don't know what exactly causes it, and thus have no way to reproduce, but by routing I know that no coal was being transferred through the stations in question, and at least once I saw the mine with a massive negative number of coal production (seems to always happen with coal mines). The stations would always have 16 million tons of coal waiting. When I added another coal route to one of these odd stations, which originally had two routes going into it, with 8 million waiting apiece, one of the 8 million waiting split, giving 4 million to the old destination and 4 million to the new destination.
Here are the Instances on the netgame:
At 452,458, Regensburg factory coal mine station -- Station I controlled, I was Southern Railroad in this game.
Prissi's link to save -- http://www.physik.tu-berlin.de/~prissi/simutrans/server-network-final-20122010.sve (http://www.physik.tu-berlin.de/~prissi/simutrans/server-network-final-20122010.sve)
Other netgame was one where the file was unreadable later on, prissi did not post a link. I will look to see if I might have a copy on my computer...
Honestly Eriks savegame lloks fine, at least with 4181.
Yes, factories do not get into negative numbers for their storage anymore (hopefully).
Oke, I will see it soon as I can get r4181 or higher from the Nightly's.
It seems to be solved.
The game (with r 4184) is running for a few hours and no problems.
Now it's time to clean up the mess.
The easiest way to get rid of all that tons of goods, is to interrupt the goods routes: as soon as there is no train left that transports the good to its target, the good is discarded.
