Currently when a player leaves or joins we get a relatively generic "XX players are currently playing" or something like that. Could we have a message which specifies which player has joined, e.g.:
"H Trans has joined the game"
"H Trans has disconnected"
Also messages when players change their name, or when someone switches to another player:
"H Trans has changed name to MegaTransport"
"Player switched company from H Trans to Trikky Transport"
In the latter two cases the colour of the text should give an indication as to the company, e.g. in the first case where it is just renaming a company the colour should be the same. But in the latter case it uses the colour of the two respective companies instead.
This would make it a lot easier to keep track of who is who and which companies are being played at any moment. Maybe we could also add an indicator to the Player List dialog to indicate which players currently have someone connected and playing them.
You will always join as player 0 ...
And currently there is no system knowing the player on a client. It is planned to keep track on the server of the current player (and its locking state) on the client, but for now you have to ask in the chat.
