I can't run simutrans.exe. When doing it in Windows, it displays info:
"Cannot run this application, because its configuration is incorrect. Reinstallation may help."
Trying to run from cmd.exe:
"System can't run specified program."
I have Windows XP with ServicePack 3, Pentium III 1 GHz, 512 MB RAM.
Before I played Simutrans on other PC with same OS. I put SDL in main Simutrans directory.
Can anyone help me?
If it's a nightly, the download page should have links to all the dlls needed. If it's a release, it already contains all required dlls.
Anyway... it will probably need bzip2.dll and maybe zlib.dll or libz.dll. Nightlies also needed mgzw.dll, maybe it changed... If you have (or want to try) depwalker (http://www.dependencywalker.com/), you can find out easily yourself the dlls and then search for them :) Really, depending on who built the exe, it might need even libc or msvcrt and who knows what else.
PS: If you downloaded the game from sourceforge recently (~5 days), they were under attack and files from there might be damaged.
Thank you. Tomorrow I will try with additional libs.
I'm not playing a nightly. Version 102.2.2 has this bug and version 102.2.1 works correct, but without complete Unicode :(
I installed all libraries indicated by Dependency Walker but my problem not disappeared.
I searched help on few Microsoft sites.
Simutrans 0.102.2.1 works correctly, versions 0.102.2.2 and 0.110.0.0 not because "Error 14001".
Help!
Are you using Standard or Experimental? The necessary libraries are not the same for each.
I'm playing standard version.
Have you tried the online installer?
I'll suggest please go ahead and download Simutrans 110.0 along with the new pak64. Unpack into a new directory and see if it works from there.
Exe installed online didn't work, so I downloaded Simutrans with SDL... and it works! Thank you all.
