Hi All,
I'm pretty new to simutrans so might be asking the obvious. However, i've tried a few things and still am not able to buy a tram. I use pak128 (1.4.6 102.2 the zip file tells me). I lay the tramrails, electrify them, build a depot and use bus stops as tram stops. but when i click on the tram depot there are no trams that i can choose to buy (like there normally is with any other mode of transport). I can get trains to ride on the tram rails, but i want a tram!
I have tried with and without timeline and in different years to see if that has any effect, it doesn't......

Have you made sure that the electrification runs into the depot's tile as well?
Also, make sure that you go to the "electric" tab in the tram depot. Otherwise, you'll just get non-electric (i.e. horse) trams. Or is it too early in the timeline for them to be invented?
While I'm on the topic of trams, does anyone know why tram electrification is 20 times as expensive as rail line electrification (especially since you can lay basic rail catenaries on a tram line)?
Ag yes, thanks a lot! - I did indeed not electrify all the way into the depot. Then all of a sudden i get the electric trams on a tab that previously wasn't there.
But it's not cheap indeed, operating trams....

Yes. Trolleybuses are (a little) cheaper. And is more important, within the same line you create for trolleybus you can transport also post - what is a little impossible with trams. But I don't know what pak you play.
