Title: Mac Music problem
Post by: transporter on April 03, 2011, 04:51:57 PM
So I have Quicktime and iTunes, (I read somewhere you need one of those) and I can play each all the tracks through them, but there's no music in Simutrans. There are sounds though

Maybe the mm code of the recent version is no longer compatible with the new OS. But could you give a little more information on what version you are using on which OS and CPU.

Since I heard reports that it worked on OS 10.5, maybe 10.6 is making trouble here. Maybe Timothy can tell more, as he actually owns a mac.

I also play simutrans on 10.6.7 Snow leopard and I've got the same problem - on 10.5 it worked but on 10.6 not... Could some help us ? Thanks

WAV files could actually contian music in many ways. It seems MAC OS (or rather the SDL for this OS) dropped the support for WAV files with MP3 sounds.

MIDI diabled means that there was no valid midi driver or no files or you just clicked "midi off" in the sound seetings.
