Title: Having problem with starting Simutrans...
Post by: furdude6 on November 04, 2008, 03:58:07 AM
I got some of the problems out of the way, but this one, the last lines say... Reading city configuration...
FATAL ERROR: stadt_t::tinit()
Can't read cityrules.tab

What solution do we have for this?

Welcome to the community :D

Please, we need to know:

1) Version of executable you have downloaded
2) Which pak you have downloaded
3) OS (Windows, Mac, Linux etc)
4) Did you follow the installation instructions? http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?topic=15
5) Did you make a search in Help Request board first? http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?board=7.0

Thanks

Please, open the folder simutrans\pak\config (considering "simutrans" the folder where is saved simutrans.exe), and see if there's a cityrules.tab.

Your simutrans folder is organized this way?

Remembering: cityrules.tab must be stored in config folder; and config folder must be stored in pak folder.

Problem fixed.. :D I tried combining the two config folders, earlier, now just put the entire pak folder in the main folder works fine.. :D now to try.
