Title: Airplan can't find way
Post by: eddyr3v on July 08, 2011, 03:06:25 PM
HI

Sorry for my english, I'm Italian.
I know there is an italian section but must be very few people reading it.

I have build 3 airports ( A - B - C ) foloowing all the wiki's instructions and they works, but the airplanes can't find the way.
I notified this : If I change the view of the game ( north - south ect... )the airplane make a step to the next stop and he can't find again the way, change again the view and he makes another step to the next airpots.....
It's a bug? How can I resolve it?

Thank you

Most likely there is a problem in the way you built your airport. However, without a screenshot or a savegame it's impossible to tell where the problem is.

Don't connect runway with taxiway in straight direction - it means only like on this screenshot from pak128
(http://graphics.simutrans.com/albums/userpics/10026/R5zmFysKFV_VaclavMacurek_Letiste.png)

As I see all (three) your pictures, you connected runway with taxiway in straight direction

not in transeverse direction

It is all I can say for now.

Yes, that's probably the cause (as I suspected, but without screenshots you simply never know).

Don't ask me how...but know it's working...
about 15 minutes I posted last reply it's started to work alone...lol
It's possible to make the map bigger?

It could be that on your first Airport (Arezzo) the actuall dock for the plane has no connection to the taxiway which leads to the runway... However I can't imagine how it could work on it's own...

It is possible to make map larger - but I don't use this feature - because I often play on very large maps.

And of course ... oops ... I forgot to suggest you paying attention to one way signs.

1. Switch to mode of Public service, open special buildings and map editing (both - red point in white circle) - and then you will see icon for resizing of map (number 2 from the right side)

2. Pak64 has also (like pak128) one way signs for taxiways - they look like red circle with horizontal white line (number 4 from the left side) - they can be rotated to choose direction from what planes will not go through this sign; this may be used for separation of landing airplanes from taking off airplanes - and so airplanes don't need to wait for empty runway - of course, if density of flights is not too high

No, your screenshots are definitely not pak128.  ;)

Eddyr3v: you play pak64

that you see some same buildings is caused that pak128 (that I play and from which is my used screenshot) was prepared from pak64 by enlarging to double size ... and as time goes, some buildings and other ones have been replaced by new ones painted specially for pak128
