Is there any feature of Simutrans Experimental 10 that could result in a massive decrease of income? I have two savegames and after switching to SE 10 I got only 1/3 of my income left... Passenger numbers are down too...
I can think of three factors
The interest rate was lowered from 5% to 2.5%
The refund rate was changed from 1.5x to 2x
The bits per month went from 19 to 20.
Bits per month should be saved with the saved game: could you post your saved game for analysis? (Incidentally, one should be able to discern using the graphs whether a loss of interest or an increase in refunds is responsible for the loss of income).
May I also ask - which pakset do you use?
Check that your convoys aren't full of passengers that can't offload. Reduced income was a side effect of this bug: http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?topic=8106.0 (http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?topic=8106.0).
There are some trains with "lost" passengers that want to exit somewhere the bus/train doesn't stop... I noticed that car usage is much higher than before...

the "lost" passengers is a known bug in loading games from 9.x - it should be fixed in the next version (the lost passengers will be discarded on loading, freeing your convoys to take passengers to their correct destinations).
The increase in the number of cars results from fixing a bug in 9.12 that resulted in too few car trips being generated (as the journey time for cars was incorrectly multiplied by a factor of 10).
