The (relatively) new 'variable loading times' feature works well, but I've found a minor bug. While the game appears to calculate and display the loading time correctly, however, this is not always reflected in how long the vehicle actually waits. For instance: if a vehicle is picking up many passengers, and displays "Loading: 3:00 remaining", it will not wait for a full three minutes. It will wait perhaps a minute and a half before leaving with everybody loaded. This only happens with larger loading times -- anything under 90 seconds or so seems to work as designed.
Thank you for the report. May I ask - can you give me the names of specific vehicles with which this problem occurs?
I've observed this on several vehicles I've modified for pak.64 experimental. It's easiest to see on freight wagons, because their maximum loading time is set much higher than passenger vehicles (for obvious reasons). I've attached a modified Lumber Wagon which will depart when the loading counter still displays 13 minutes loading time remaining.
(While testing this I also noticed some oddities regarding the maximum load time. The .dat file for this vehicle specifies a minimum load time of 60 and a maximum of 600 -- but in-depot this displays as 0:46 - 7:48. Furthermore, when waiting at a stop the load time corresponds to neither the depot figure nor the .dat file figure -- it was more like 14 minutes.)
Thank you. I have been able to reproduce the problem, and am currently (at least, when I get time) working on a fix. Thank you for the report!
Many thanks James!
This should be fixed in 10.6.
