Title: [10.9] can't save games without freezing
Post by: chicken on February 04, 2012, 11:50:52 PM
Just reinstalled Win7 on a new drive. I downloaded Simutrans-experimental 10.9 complete package (BTW, love the work you're doing on this) and tried to load my old saved game [10.8] but it froze. Oh well. I tried starting a new game but when I go to save it, it also freezes up ("Not Responding"). Eventually I give up and try a really small map but the same result. Anyone else seeing this behavior? If not I guess I will try compiling my own version from source, when I get around to installing mingw.

can't reproduce on current 10.x branch, complied on ubuntu 64, gcc 4.6.1, either james has fixed it or it is os specific.

ps.: there's an awfull lot of warnings during compile ...

I think the error is mine, actually. When I copied my settings and saved games from back-up, it seems that the folder got set to read-only. This made Simutrans freeze up.
