Title: [10.10] multiple rejoining of other players adds severe lag

This may or may not be present in standard as well, but for the current experimental online game, when someone else rejoins multiple times, the game will lag severely for those who remain connected. This is especially so when done over a short period of time. It is as if every time someone connects, the server will  incrementally run ahead of the client and the client will never catch up.

The 'lag' resets itself when the game is restarted entirely.
