Title: Question on --freeplay
Post by: Train_Guy on April 05, 2012, 07:08:55 PM
Hi I am just a beginner and recently registered to this forum :)! I have played OpenTTD and now I am trying to play Simutrans first time. There are lots of things which are different from OpenTTD. As a beginner I want to play simutrans game with a freeplay option. I know it can be achieved with a --freeplay command. But what is annoying is that I cannot save my game when in --freeplay mode :-[. So please can anyone suggest me how to play this game without have to become bankruptcy? I am using the latest simutrans.

that's strange. you should be able to save no matter what the mode is set to.
Which version are you using?

can you try it with a "freeplay mode" enabled after the game is loaded?
You can manually set it in menu > players > freeplay mode

Sorry I was using a very old version of simutrans!! I didn't noticed that. Now I updated simutrans and followed the advice you have given. Thank you, this solved my problem!
