Title: Passengers with no route
Post by: hreintke on April 27, 2012, 09:35:45 AM
LS,

I am a newcomer in Simutrans learning with every move I make.
Question is about available passengers. I created in two city's bus roudtrip lines and connected both to a train station for intercity travel.
No much travel however. But in the busstop locations I see a lot of passengers with "no route". Searching the forum I find posts saying that I can find where those passengers want to go to in he city window. That's where I am stuck. I don't see where I  can see/find that information.

Anyone who can give me a lead where I should look / can find the info on "no route passengers" ?

You only get city-wide information. In the small maps for the city townhall you will see yellow dots for travelled passengers (and mail) and red dots for "no route" passengers.

No route usually wants to go inside your city (some 10-30%) to other cities (another 30%) to factories (if connected to your city) and to attractions (about 15%).

Most people want to go to large cities and factories, thus connect to a large city and to all local factories should give you less no route.

Prissi (and others),

Very difficult to see.
Is the status and destination of all passengers saved in the sve file ?
If so I can see whether I can find that information form there. Any hint to look in which sourcefile(s)  appreciated.

Doesn't the global mini-map provide some help here? Or is that just in Experimental? I forget.

It looks like it does, under Selections, then Destinations. (I don't remember all those buttons being there before.) A city must be selected as the origin.
