Title: Tiles in goodslisting
Post by: AvG on August 05, 2013, 06:00:59 PM
James,
Running EXP11.1

I noticed that with the new standard of 125m/tile, the distance-setting in the goodslisting is not following.
Result: Your income of a vehicle is per tile and the vehicle-cost per km. (8-fold deviation)

Everytime you start a scenario you have to think of setting the distance to 8.

Or am I mistaken somewhere??

If I understand you correctly, this is intentional: it is easier to understand a per kilometre value than a per tile value.

Yes, I understand it is better to use the per km value.

The goodslisting, however does not.
The config-file tells you the tile-dimension is 125m, which means the distance-setting in the goodslisting should read 8.
Every startup of the game that setting (saved with value 8) is back to 1.

According the help-function this distance-setting shows how many tiles in 1 km.

In other words: After loading the game the revenue-values of the goods are per tile and not per km.

I think that the number represents km not tiles, unless Nathaneal has changed it recently...
