Hmm - can't reproduce this crash, but there was a rather odd crash on saving that I have now fixed in 11.x.
hmm, odd. It crashed 3/3 times for me under fast forward, but now it seems to be less frequently reproducible.

Just curious - do you use the 32- or the 64-bit version?

Can you try with the 32-bit version in case this is a .dll issue?
32bit version seems to be stabler.
Even in 11.16, the 64bit version did crash at the beginning of month occasionally.
I have seen occasional crashes at the beginning of months relating to deleting excess city cars, but it is not clear exactly what is causing them: the immediate cause appears to be performing operations on an already deleted car object retrieved from the list of cars not assigned to any particular city, but it is not clear how that can happen, since the deletion code removes the car from the list to which it is assigned, and the variable for that list is set whenever a car is put in it. It is not clear whether this is the same crash that you are getting.
I let the 32bit 11.16 run overnight and it ran for some 40~50 years without crashing, so I will have to guess this bug is limited to 64bit.
This is very curious. If anyone with more programming experience than I could suggest what could be causing this, I should be extremely grateful.

I think I spoke too soon. It no longer crashes in the short term, but games run for an extended period of time do crash eventually.
and, as usual, the 32bit client runs perfectly fine.
Can you give any more specific clues than "crashes eventually"...?
I ran the server game locally and on fast forward.
The 64bit client worked fine from Nov, 1775 to Feb, 1776, at which point it crashed.
Loading the autosave from Jan, 1776, with the 32bit client, the game worked perfectly beyond February and is now in Oct. 1779.
No inputs were made, so the game crashed by itself.
Does this only happen in fast-forward mode, or does it sometimes crash when actually connected to the server?
I've only tested it in fast forward mode.
I doubt I can stay connected to the server for such a long duration.
Having trouble reproducing this one, I am afraid.
