Title: Rev.1953&V100.0: Signs and signals forbid to remove ways with way removal tool
Post by: z9999 on August 17, 2008, 06:00:36 AM
simutrans 100.0 & r1953

If there is a 80km/h in the middle of the route, way removal tool can't remove them.
I says "Ways not connected.".
Other signs and signals also limit to remove them.

Maybe this problem exist for long time, but at least, 88.10.5 didn't have this problem.

Also valid for traintracks. Depends also where you put your first "X" . See screenshots, in all cases first "X" on the left, 2nd "X" on the right. This reminds me of electrification problems in earlier versions, you should pay attention to the direction of the signals in between. (PAK128)

This is intended behaviour. The removal tool is like the electrification tool.

88.10.5 was also limited by one way signs. The only difference is, that there was maybe a different vehicle used for removal.

EDIT: 88.10.5 used a real vehicle and crashed, if there was none. The fictious vehicle used now had a maximum speed of 1. Changed to 500 should take care of that, but may result in deletion of faster track with less curves compared to straight line tracks.

Okay, but who can imagine the fact that removal tool observe signals.
At least, I didn't know this until now.

I never used this tool, because it didn't work as expected.
But now I understand why. Thank you.  :)
