A backward directional reservation is created only when the train of Line (1) goes from East to West.
This reservation is opposite to the direction of the train.

Thank you for your report. This was actually a secondary symptom of the primary problem, which is that trains sometimes did not properly record their reversing status at stations. I have now fixed this: once the train has visited the station once and registered that it must reverse, this should no longer recur.
I should be grateful if you could re-test this with to-morrow's nightly build.
I confirmed that it has been fixed in today's nightly build(#0088b46).
