Title: Blender is mocking me: retopo troubles
Post by: IgorEliezer on November 15, 2009, 07:52:18 PM
Hi,

I hope Blender users have mercy and help me XD. I'm having some troubles with Retopo. Simply Retopo doesn't have consistency. 2 or 3 out of 100 tries that Retopo worked (a half of my Sunday was spent in it). I created a little house and put a roof over it; now I want to remove a part of walls that are over the roof.

This is what I'm doing:

Select the vertices

Occlude background geometry is off, solid mode and go to top view

I click on Retopo and Retopo all, that's what I got sometimes:

... and every time I try again either I get worse results or nothing...

That's what I want:

This one above I got by using knife, but this creates triangles on walls, which difficult any post-edition.
