QuoteLONDON -- The 11-year-old boy didn't have a passport, didn't have a ticket, didn't have a boarding pass, and got all the way from England to Italy on his own.

Oh... I wonder what he motivated him...

An_dz

I got the clue... If want a free flight, just go with jet2. ;D

Ters

Just proves that all this security stuff at airports is just for show.

I think I've heard of that too, but that's probably about five years ago now. It is possible that that person had been through security, though, and just gotten on the wrong plane or something like that.

I just hope that thay do not make the security checks even more strict because of this. Those security check are anyway mostly to make traveller's life worse... Just to show the power - we can throw away your bottle of deadly dangerous water just to make you buy overpriced water in "tax free" zone...

just take an empty bottle inside and fill it up from the water fountains :)

granted, the water doesn't always taste that good, but at least it is drinkable and free.

I thought they wouldn't let you keep a container with a capacity of greater than 100ml, regardless of how much, if any liquid was in it?

ӔO

really? must be different standards or they just don't check thoroughly enough.
I've carried on my empty 24oz/750mL bottle, which was in plain sight on my backpack, plenty of times.

I think you can't carry on containers filled with any form of liquid greater than 100mL, however. Which are things like toothpaste, perfume, antiperspirants, etc.

Why only liquids? Aren't gases as dangerous? Or solids? I have also seen a guy on television blow up a section of airplane fuselage with less than 100mL of three or so individually harmless liquids. A reporter was shown bringing these ingredients aboard a plane too.

Thankfully, I never fly, so I don't have to deal with all this crap, except that some of my taxes may fund this madness.

isidoro

I never fly too.  And I try to only go to the places I can reach on foot.  But back on topic:

"It's not good, is it?" he said. "It is a security breach, if a non-threatening security breach."

I would add that it is a marvelous security breach...  One that makes me believe in mankind again.  A 21st century boy with all the technology, security, fears, etc.  just decides to go somewhere and goes...  Isn't that marvelous?
