I'v made this video for an example to build it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPyrcqRqHDs
Just build it how long you need, and it can carriage two layers.

here's the chinese description:

the HTML source code would not be encoded in chinese characters.

In general chinese characters shouldn't be a problem either, fully unicode capable system here. open a lot of chinese pages here. (Haven't tested excotic or obsolete encodings like Big5 though)

completely enconding independent test: downloaded the page with wget:

exactly,it was Big5 which you said"obsolete encodings"......

sdog

"excotic or obsolete"  :-)
i didn't really say it is obsolete* yet.

*Unicode is 25 years old now, i wonder why some of the old encodings are so persistent.

another test, showed no problems to display big5 test pages. google translate doesn't recognize the page either. Not being able to download the html is also looking strange. Perhaps something on the serverside doesn't work (empty file, wrong permissions)?
i don't want to be too distracting, if it's not important just forget it, only wanted to notify you.
