I created this for a big project that I'm working on and I thought I'd share it for anyone else who is interested in playing it.



This mage is HUGE, 6000x2148.  It is created at a 20m/tile scale.  Uses USGS terrain data.

Altitude increments are biased towards the low end, the first few steps of altitude are in small increases, 0-10m, 10m-20m and then start to increase logarithmically as you get to the higher gradients such that the highest z-axis increases are 150m+ per level.  This is due to the fact that the highest altitude on this map in reality is around +/- 1,800m.

Set water height to -9 for this map to be at the correct level.

Scale down the map or select a subsection to make a smaller map.

There are lakes in the mountains that will not render with water due to their altitude.
