it would be cool to have more data in general in simutrans, I suppose that something everyone can agree on, to an extent at least. some of the challenge of the game lies somewhat in the fact that the player is "in the dark" about much of the information he could use, so he can make assessments or simply be ignorant about it. Thus the learning curve is much steeper, as it is harder to point out weaknesses and strengths in one's play. The most apparent example of course is the inability to view line stats as a sortable table, one could learn a lot from that. Of course this should not come at the expense of historical data of lines, the more the merrier.

So while giving away all financial data may make things too easy on the management side for the player (unless it is substituted by other economic challenges), I do think the information should be a bit more extensive. Also, there's much general information that perhaps won't benefit the player directly, but will both be enjoyable to know and help the player learn more about the game. For instance, transport mode breakdown (and others) of individual cargo types, average journey distance of pax, etc.

If this is of interest to the developers, we'll try to make up a list - there should be plenty.

There is a patch whcih will go in as soon as we got the release candidate 112.1 network stable.
