There does not appear to be an option to use mph.

As a backwards American, I find it "educational" to try and think in kph.

One could add a feature for mph, but assuming they were just to do the math, the speed limits would seem like strange numbers.

20 kph = 12.4 mph

Fortunately, there is an international standard for how long a mile is.  I know for weight and volume measurements there is variance between US and UK practices.

Maybe just make a keep a little "cheat sheet" handy:

5 kph = 3 mph
10 kph = 6 mph
20 kph = 12 mph
30 kph = 19 mph
40 kph = 25 mph
50 kph = 31 mph
75 kph = 45 mph
100 kph = 62 mph
125 kph = 78 mph
150 kph = 93 mph
200 kph = 124 mph
250 kph = 155 mph
300 kph = 186 mph

Another thing to keep in mind is that, expectations of speed differ by culture and time.  Before railroads, the speed limit on land was the fastest horse.  Even today, driving "fast" differs a lot depending on how wide and straight of a road you have.  In one region, 60 mph might be very fast, whereas another region is accustomed to 75 mph.

Which is just to say ... the number matters less to your current context, and is more a question of whether it is fast compared with contemporary in-game alternatives.

a really simplified cheat sheet:

10km/h = 6mph
16km/h = 10mph

Then just multiply it by whatever number...

16km/h *10 = 160km/h  =  10mph *10 = 100mph

10km/h * 10 = 100km/h  =  6mph * 10 = 60mph
