The buildings will flatten slopes on which elevated ways exist and both building and elevated way will coexist on the same tile until the game is saved and loaded.

either increase the city density or manually build low density buildings on the slopes. Save/Load and you will see that the elevated ways are gone where a building was built.

buildings no longer sprout under elevated ways, but public attractions still do.

Thanks, checking more....

Edit:
Ok - I can't reproduce this. Attractions, monuments, none of them appear under sloped elevated ways for me? :s

ah, sorry. my mistake. I was using r6168 for some reason.

confirmed that it works correctly in r6657.

only way to break elevated ways is to build something underneath manually.

What have you managed to build manually under ways?

ӔO

hmm, I thought I did build some level 0 and 1 residential, but maybe I just needed my morning tea.
sorry for the extra hassle! :)
