Estimated cost of clearing a tile

Looking at the tooltip for way building tools, one can see how much it costs to build the way itself. But the actual construction cost can be much higher if there is something else on the tile, like trees and other decorative ground objects. For things that are automatically removed, dragging will reveal the actual cost, but at the risk of actually constructing the way if one inadvertently release the mouse button. For buildings, it seems that their value in the information window equals the removal cost. But there might be other things that must be removed, like power lines or even way objects like signals. Some, preferably uniform, way of previewing removal cost would be nice.
