You have a stop/staion/port , you see passengers or goods starting to pile up, so you open the stop dialogue window to see what's the most requested destination and add more vehicles to the line that serves it.
Except that if we are talking about a big transportation hub, served by a lot of lines each one with multiple stops, it becomes kinda hard to remember which one serves Smalltown n°26 and it requres a bit of cross referencing between info windows, which may get tedious in games with very complex networks.

Now in the main stop dialogue window, under "goods and passengers waiting", there's a button that lets you cicle between amount, destination, via (detail), via (amount); I was thinking that could be helpful to have an additional option "via (line)", that would change the list to something like "25 items > Smalltown n°26 station (*name of the line*)".
Even if passengers/goods are going to change line to reach their final destination, I'd say that it's enough to show only which line(s) they need to take to leave this particular stop.

There might be many lines connecting one stop to the next.

Maybe then a small button next to each entry in the list that opens another dialogue window, which shows the list of lines serving that particular destination?

You can see which lines are serving the stop in the details button.

No, you can see which lines serve the stop you are looking at, not which ones serve the stop that passengers want to reach from the stop you are looking.
