SVN wasn't able to be set up on the server, alas. But absolutely could have backups on the server if other methods work, e.g. ftp, etc

All that is needed is running the rsync as shown on the page I linked to. We don't need to, and shouldn't since that could corrupt the backup, run an SVN server on it while the original is still running.

Sorry I missed the references page, Ters. I admit to scanning the thread, so I missed details. I mean, I read, but obviously missed that. :)

Well, in such case, would be trivial to setup - either under an existing account, or under its own account (the latter would probably be better). :)
