't' and 's' always chooses the worst/cheapest way available

pressing t and s in simutrans standard returns to last used way, but in simutrans-ex it selects the cheapest way (dirt road, wagon track) available.
I think return to last used way is more useful.

I am afraid that I cannot reproduce this - pressing "t" does indeed give the last used type of track, although the cheapest type will be selected if "t" is selected before any type of track has been selected in the menu. Does this occur in specific situations?

I was running with timeline off. Perhaps that makes a difference
