Graphical glitch when using long road vehicles

Steps to reproduce:
  • Load the default pak128.german scenario
  • Go to "Berlin Central Schlachthof"
  • Wait for cattle to be delivered
  • Notice that some cattle stays behind after unloading
The glitch happens at all zoom levels, but not in fast forward mode from what I could see.
Both r8693 and the current release version are affected.

Without looking at it, I suspect that it is one of the long standing issues nobody ever has been able to find a working solution for. Or rather, this glitch is the unfortunate side effect of a fix for another more prominent glitch. This is why it looks better in fast forward. With fast forward, that fix is not applied. The only solution is to keep all vehicles below a certain size.

should be fixed in r8694, problem was that the unloaded vehicles have empty images. Thus some pieces of the screen were not marked dirty.
