Is there any way to update the 1.3.2.26 apk?

Found a 2013 Simutrans apk at version 1.3.2.26, and I was wondering if it was possible to update it to the latest Simutrans version? It runs via SDL, and I acquired the file from this link:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/libsdl-android/files/Simutrans/

I have found a website that had a 2016 version at one point but the link for the apk is dead. That link is this one:

https://ruup.de/simutrans-for-android/

If anyone has an updated apk, or knows of a process to update the existing outdated apk it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Mondo.

The android versions were never 'official', that's to say they were not made by Simutrans developers, but by a third party.
I'd consider contacting pelya via one of the contacts written on their page: https://libsdl-android.sourceforge.io/
This is the person who ported libSDL to Android, created the 2013 apk and told the person from the 2016 apk how to do it. Also, they port a lot of games, so they are used to the process - it's certainly easier for them to create "Simutrans for Android" than it is for the game devs here, who might not even have android devices to begin with.

EDIT: Since they probably don't follow Simutrans, tell them there were some gui improvements so it might actually be playable.

Thanks for the reply. Contacted pelya, fingers crossed

EDIT: He told me to ask the forums, here.

Actually, Pelya work motivated us to improve the GUI, which should be much more finger friendly by now. I also tried to compile for Android, but failed. However, I see there is a github with sources (which I never had from the old version) and hence it shoudl be relatively straught forward to update this.

Can you link a tutorial on how to compile please? Never done anything like it, but if it's straightforward I'd like to try.
