Problem with pak192.comic-ex

I recently downloaded Siutrans pak192.comic-ex. But every time when I launch it, it keep loading for a long time and then crash. Why? I'm using Windows 10 version. How about can Simutrans Extended be on Steam?

What about to write some details? Hard to help you if you don't write anything what would bring us closer to your problem. I am almost sure that any message is generated when game crashes.

Where did you get that pakset from?

I am not aware of a release of an extended version of our pakset, but i'd love to be proven wrong here.

10 years ago, there was indeed a p192c Experimental Edition, which would likely not work anymore and I don't think anything it contained is still in the current pakset version.

The current status is: Main Devs of p192c don't work on an Extended Edition because there is still much to do in Standard. Citarofahrer claimed he'd do it, but hasn't shown results. Main problem seems to be that Extended can't read shorthand dats, so you can't get a playable version - you'd have to write new dats or write a program to extend the dat files.

I'm certain a playable extended version - even without extended-specific-features - would be a treat to many, and might be enough to spark an actual development branch. After all, for conversion you don't actually need graphics, you just need to be tech-savvy.
