My map no longer allows the player to place track, streets, etc
« on: September 12, 2020, 03:15:00 PM »
Hi all,

Recently, a long time game I've been playing stopped allowing me to place track, streets, airports and the like. The building tabs that should appear now only show a remove wayjob button.

Hopefully someone knows what causes this or if it is reversable.

Thanks.

What exactly does "long running" mean?
Could you attach the savegame please, otherwise the only thing we can do is guessing.

Is it over year 2999?
Old paksets and pak files may retire in 2999 and will no longer be available. The pakset or pak file needs to be updated.

In case of the year 2999 problem, load your game, got to new world, select setting, close the new world dialoge, setting "use timeline" to zero and clsoe the dialoge. Save the game and reload, and things should be there again.

Yes it is and that is around the year I noticed it stopped working.

I will try the fixes suggested.

Thank you!

[EDIT]

Absolutely amazing it is fixed! Thank you all again for your help!
