When saving, the new save file is created with the extension .sv_ instead of .sve. The file itself is fine, it loads normally after renaming.

Thank you for the report. Saving as *.sv_ is part of a new mechanism implemented in Standard and recently ported to Extended to prevent saved game corruption: the idea is that the file is written to *.sv_ and, only after the save has completed successfully is it then renamed to *.sve. Unfortuantely, there can sometimes be problems with renaming the file (and nobody has worked out quite why).

May I ask what operating system that you are running?

I run Windows 10.

Edit: Renaming seems to work with the current nightly.
