Hey,

I was wondering if anyone knew a good source on passenger statistics (raw passenger amount or passenger-km)
It can be of any country from this list: France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria or Italy.

I have found data for these countries from 1995 - now. (for NL even 1980 to now)

Is anyone able to help me?
It'd be amazing if it's a list, but if it's just a single year for a single country that helps as well.
Thank you. :)

Matthew

If your current data is from 1995 onwards, I guess that you have already found the UIC database? Because that's their cut-off point for historical data.

The UN Economic Commission for Europe has some data for some countries for some years. For example, this table shows passenger-km (including cross-border trains). You can make your own table using this page. Although this data set is incomplete, it should be internally consistent (standardized).

The OECD has passenger data for a wider range of years for its members, here.  If you adjust the parameters, you can select the countries that you want going back as far as 1970:

But it's inconsistent with the UNECE data. I don't know whether it's standardized using a different method or not standardized at all.

Available in English and simplified Chinese

OH YES

Thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for!  ;D

Would love to see some earlier data, but this is incredibly valuable and complete, thanks!  8)

Found some very rough data on NL from 1960 too. (7300 mio pax-km if anyone is interested)
