Why transparent at all? Below they are not transparent.

If the boost is not active then the image is shown with some transparency. This patch helps with some themes. Will look into it later. (Patch seems to look fine)

In the "themes.src" directory yes, but not in the "simutrans/themes/" directory. You always have to aggregate the changes in both places.
