Quoteshould be done within a decade or two, if nothing goes wrong

Don't worry, you're not the only one who suffers with git, I made a pdf list with the commands I need most, their explanation and an example... that helps me a lot when I forget everything about git.

Just want to say, pretty cool and creative work! Good luck with it :)

Version 1.0b is out! Includes:

Changelog for version 0.1b
""""""""""""""""""""""""""
[ADD] Aerial wireless (airbus?) as addons
  [ADD] Citycars and pedestrians.
  [ADD] Factory: Remote Server.
[CHG] Custom cityrules: there will be less roads now.

Links: Compiled pak | Source

This version is considered all stable, except for air transport (= aerial wireless), which is an addon for now. The addons/pak48.bitlit directory has been added to the archives, which structure is now:
<archive>
 |- addons
 |   '- pak48.bitlit
 |       |- text
 |       |   '- air_en.dat
 |       |- <addon1.pak>
 |       '- <addon2.pak>
 '- pak48.bitlit
     |- <directories>
     |- <base1.pak>
     '- <base2.pak>

@prissi there seems to be some issues with plane stops drawing order: frontimages for stops are drawn under vehicles.

P.S: I think the pakset lists (https://simutrans-germany.com/wiki/wiki/en_paksets and https://www.simutrans.com/en/paksets/) should be updated with the new paksets: pak48.bitlit and pak144.Excentrique.

Indeed, the wedsite could be updated (although the wiki you could update yourself, I think.)

For hosting at Sourceforge, you just have to tell my you Sourceforge account and you can upload you data there via the webpage.

...

simutrans.com once had a list of old sets. These images were linked in the wiki, but apparently no longer exist on the server.

see https://forum.simutrans.com/index.php/topic,22639.msg205642/topicseen.html#msg205642

I can't say whether the images were removed by An_dz when he redesigned the website or whether they were lost due to a server error in recent years.

Finally created a git repository. It is on Codeberg rather than Github.

Also added a logo image.

Small update to pak48.bitlit: version 0.1c. Now with 100% more chat window and player ranking icons!

The source can be found here: source (zip) | source (tgz)

The compiled paks can be found here: source (zip) | source (tgz)

Changelog for version 0.1c
""""""""""""""""""""""""""
[ADD] Chat and player ranking icons (in the "Special Tools" toolbar).
[CHG] Symbol images (season etc.) should no longer be scalable.
[CHG] The changelog is now limited to 79 characters per line instead of 80.

Warning warning warning: as I can currently not use Makeobj, this release is "source-only", so you will have to compile it in order to use it. See the 'README' for more details on this. The compiled paks are now available.

I like them very much.

Idea for a new factory: UNIX, consumes programs, produces segfaults. Then, Debugger, consumes segfaults, produces problems. Then, Programmer At Their Desk, consumes problems...

The current version will be part of the next release (i.e. the installer show be able to download and install it).

Bit sad after Friday's event :-)

Nazalassa

A new factory will be included in the next release (0.1d): the Simutrans Server. It comes with its Client.

simu-factories.gif

Simutrans Data flows from the Server to the Client, so there is a new wireless module for this.

Since the Client is located in a city, and the Server is in the middle of the sea, Simutrans Data needs to use wireless, and then uniflow (or biflow). So I made it transportable by byte carriages. But this means that, when I added a wireless module with freight 'Simutrans Data', Simutrans actually considered it to be able to transport anything in the group of 'Simutrans Data', which includes, in fact, everything Byte carriages can carry. Which is not the intended behaviour.

At this point I realize I am running out of ideas for additions to this pak. I have no clue on what to add so... Maybe this means the pak is complete? The only thing Iknow is I do no longer have any ideas. Maybe they will come one day; maybe not. I will wait a bit before releasing 0.1d; any feedback on balance is welcome, as I would like to fix such issues, if any, before releasing 0.1d.

I think it is no problem to mark it complete for now. Pak development is anyway slow ...

Nazalassa

I think the minimap color scheme should be modifiable by the pakset, since green hues look a bit strange for a grey world. (and that would allow the pak48.Excentrique to go rainbow too!)

Please post an extension request. There one could discuss of how to realize it.

Nazalassa

Version 0.1d of the pakset is now available - it should be the last 0.x release as the pakset seems quite "complete" now. I just want to check balance and a few other things before releasing 1.0.
