Airplane convois - a discussion of whether or not it's a bug and/or fixed?

I have tried airplanes instead of boats for wireless transmission, but:

• In a convoy, only the first vehicle lifts off the ground: the others stay on the ground. Not very good.
• While the head of a convoy lands, the rest of it does weird things and circle all around. They unite back (let's rather say "teleport") to the head when it lifts off the runway ("antenna").
• Some more problems, mainly with routing and the like.

I will keep the boats. It's safer than airplanes. Airplanes will probably drive me mad.

I wonder if this is the first time "airplane convois" are wanted. lol.

So my question is: Is this behaviour intended? If not, might there be interest in fixing it?

Thought I would ask as airplanes make sense for wireless transmission for that pak.

I also know we have limited developers and programming time, so even if it's considered a bug, it might not be fixed any time soon or ever...

...but I thought I'd bring it up for discussion at the least.

I totally agree with fixing this, I like that package creators have complete freedom to be creative and do their experiments, these types of details give excitement to the project and more versatility.

Should also not too hard to fix it, it is probably because most airplane assume they are leading an care not for the leading car flag.
There might be issues with runway reservation though, but overall I think that is one weekend of work to fix it.
I plan to look into it soonish.
