I'm amazed at how detailed this game is, and how beautiful the art is in each pak. Once I start a new map I find it difficult to delete it. I just love watching my buses, trucks and trains travel around, delivering products and people to wherever they need to go. I mostly use buses and trucks, and sometimes I zoom in close just to admire the livery on the side of the vehicle, With some trucks I can even see the product the truck is carrying, and then when the truck makes its delivery the product disappears. The factories and farms look like factories and farms, full of purpose and life. The cities look like busy centers of life and commerce. That gives me a feeling of...maybe the word is "satisfaction."

I live in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. When I was growing up in the 60s, model train sets were popular. I think Lionel was one of the companies that made them. Fathers and sons would assemble train networks in the basement or a spare room and run the trains around and around. You could buy little trees and buildings too. The trains would make sounds, and some of them would make puffs of smoke. Fathers and sons used to bond by playing with these train sets, thought it wasn't called "bonding" back then.

My father died when I was 3 years old, and my mother (God bless her up in heaven) did not have much money, so I never had a Lionel train set when I was young. But I had a friend who played trains with his father. It looked like so much fun.

Now, as a 66 year old man, because of Simutrans and its beautiful buses, trucks, trains and factories I can experience the joy of operating my own transport network.

Thank you, everyone who draws, creates paks and programs for this wonderful game.

I should add that my wife and I do not have any children, so I have no one to build a train set with. But now, Simutrans is my way of enjoying something I never had a chance to enjoy in my earlier life.
