This thread is going to get annoying as I plan to post in here every single day. If this does become annoying, let me know and I can create a sub-forum for it so that it can be ignored more easily. But I feel this is something I need to do....

I must start walking. And the only way to do that is to be held accountable. And the only way to do that is to post it. Every single day.

So, here's the first day:

https://ieh.one/t/first-day/83

Or directly on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igKOliF7yw0

I truly hope the posting is not too annoying, but if it is, let me know. I'll figure something out. If nothing else, I can edit posts and post each new day that way.

You could also do a discord. There seems more activity there than here. Anyway, keep on walking!

Second day: https://ieh.one/t/second-day/85

And the problem with a discord is that I can't imagine anyone will find this interesting. I have a hard enough time believing anyone I know will find it interesting, much less strangers. :)

Print out pictures of places all over the world, and put them up at your destination, each day a different one. Then, we can watch you go down the hallway, while you tell us you are in paris or whatever.

Rebrand it as a microtravel-blog that spoofs real fake travel blogs, and it could be interesting just to see where you'll end up next.

...just an idea in case you really want to gather an audience and have some fun with the ordeal.

Good luck!

All my support and best wishes, Isaac!

I don't know if that's appropriate in you case, but have you tried paddling in a stable kayak?

Well, a disclaimer: It didn't record! Bleh! So I recorded a short message instead, but I walked, I promise - same as yesterday.

That's the idea, for sure. And believe me, it is VERY little right now. lol

That is a hilarious idea. I don't know about printing - I don't have access to a working printer. But if I can come up with something interesting to talk about each day, that might actually provide a modicum of value that might be interesting. lol. I'll have to play with this idea, thank you for the inspiration!

That is an interesting idea. lol. I don't have easy access to any equipment, but I think walking is the best exercise since what I'm training up for is... walking. So I'm doing what I want to train to do. hehe. That said, there may be some advantage to doing some other exercises. I have a dumbbell I need to use to strengthen my arms - I noticed that not only are my legs hurting, but my arms do, too!

But at the moment - back to the kayak - getting into water is a right pain for me at the moment. My mobility is extremely limiting. But maybe one day. :)

Although honestly, I'd like to ride a bike again - that would be my exercise target. I used to ride everywhere when I was a kid and teen. :)

Use the magic of video editing, just slap an image at the end. Bonus points of you cut out exactly one picture of yourself (badly, with straight edges) and slap it on your destinations.

Maybe even post one good picture of yourself here for others to print out and bring to various locations for photos. Given this is an international forum, I suppose you can become Mr. Worldwide in no time while having a meaningful interaction with people, and they can provide all the information you need to talk about the location first hand.

I think there is potential. Not to become a star influencer, but for a small community that actually enjoys your videos, with minimal extra effort (since you already plan to walk and post a daily video anyway, which is the hard part)

You have some great ideas, and I'm going to continue to ponder what things to do along those lines, thank you! I may do something like that as a weekly feature, perhaps. And yes, it would be awesome to develop a very small community for such things. Not a large one. But yep, having something interesting is a good idea.

Definitely weekly, at least to start, though! So now I'll have to figure out what day of the week. Oh, it should be Sunday since I'm off from work and dialysis on Sundays. So...... I have a few days to plan now :)

Both cycling and kayaking have the advantage of being in direct contact with nature.  With little force, you can slide a kayak and it's a very nice sensation and it's quite easy to improve.  There are adaptations to ride a bike so if you really want it, you'll get it.  I'm now studying all that and got surprised to know all the possibilities.

All my support from the distance!

Did Isaac have his leg amputated because if he walked slowly something could happen and I asked if Isaac had a prosthesis and noticed when he was seriously ill?  :-[  :warning:

Day 7 - first week down! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ff97C-MMdNo&ab_channel=IsaacEiland-Hall

Day 6 made it to Most Viral on Imgur. Crazy stuff. Then again, there's a guy who posts a bowl of porridge every single day (at least, as of last check), so I guess my fellow Imgurians are easily amused. lol

At Pascallok — I'm afraid I'm a bit confused, but I did in fact have an amputation a couple of years ago and just haven't been able to walk again since, thanks to a number of medical issues. But finally to the point of being able to try. :)

I don't know if you can speak Spanish, but we watched this video at my class and it was very inspirational for me.  I hope it be for you.  :)

Nice! No hablo for the most part, but with the auto-translated captions I can hear a lot more words and understand as they're saying them. lol. But while the autotranslation was hilarious at times, enough meaning came through.

Pretty sweet!

Not for me - once I'm walking with just a cane, I'll move on to bicycle riding - at least, I'll try. Getting up and down is hard, so something like that would be a very long time away. Maybe one day, though :) And it's awesome to see them doing that - and normalizing is so critically important!

Thank you both for the kind words. :) I've missed some days, but this is working well. And the responsibility I feel for posting it every day GREATLY helps - I would absolutely have stopped again were I not feeling the pressure to post. Pressure which I put on me. But it's working. lol. ADHD is stupid.
