[Bug 4.2] crash in depot
« on: June 20, 2009, 08:28:44 PM »
Using any pakset, Simutrans experimental crashes if the following operations are carried out:

Build an electrified depot, switch mode to "sell", then below switch to "upgrade". The boxes are updated (dropdown disappears and text changes) and then the program crashes after a brief pause. This might be caused by mouse movement across area with vehicle icons; doing so is a sure way to trigger the crash, as well as closing depot window.

If these boxes are not set to these modes in given order as first change, the crash does not happen. Entering the same combination of modes later seems safe.

VS,

thank you very much for the report :-) The problem was down to a mismatch between translation strings and values (floating point versus integer), and it was not, in fact, necessary to follow all of those steps reproduce the bug: it is reproduced by using "upgrade" with a non-powered vehicle. It will be fixed in the next version.
